Young scientists from Shirley Junior School, who’ll be joining us next year, have been working on the Creativity in Science and Technology (CREST) award of the British Association. They have just completed an investigation in what make a good cup of tea and are one step away from gaining their Megastar award. They have compared tea bags with loose tea, different shapes of bag, cheap and fair trade, and looked at different ways of making tea around the world – from the Japanese tea ceremony to Russian samovars – this has contributed Bellemoor School’s work towards the prestigious International School award. Last Thursday, we invited their parents on to join us for the end of project Tea Party. The Junior Science club continues to be a great success with our young year 6 students.
