Oliver

Our production of Oliver was an absolute triumph - it was simply the best ever, in every single aspect: music, drama, singing, dance and costume. The boys were wonderful and were extremely well supported by very talented students from Tauntons; Jade Williams was an amazing Nancy and should be in the TV show! Outstanding performances included Iain Ross as a really menacing Bill Sykes and Jordan Owton as a roguish Artful Dodger. Nathan King was worryingly good as Noah Claypole and Jacob Tilley presented a really dark side to Mr Sowberry. Phill Collins was angelic as Oliver and pulled the heart strings of the whole audience, especially the mums. Thomas Buckley was simply wonderful as Fagin, a role that seemed to be perfectly made for him.

The surprise of the performance has to be Matthew Rawlins who was superb as Mr Bumble - he was completely and utterly the part - deep voice and all!

Congratulations to all the staff for their quite extraordinary performances too. And finally a big thank you to everyone who made this production possible - especially Miss Izard, well supported by her choreographer, Miss Draper.
