Bellemoor School | Southampton

On 14^th and 15^th February the school held a two day Go Row extravaganza. We began with a junior school ergo rowing competition attended and enjoyed by Shirley Junior and Foundry Lane and Springhill Primary Schools. After school the Southampton and Hampshire Schools Championships took place, with teams from Grove Park, Redbridge, Bitterne Park, St Edmunds, Fort Hill, St Annes and Uplands. Bellemoor had a very successful afternoon winning both trophies! All the boys who participated deserve praise for their commitment, however the following performances are worthy of special mention:

Year 7 - Joe Keane, Gold medallist and Devan McClure, Silver medallist

Year 8 - Ben Burge, Silver medallist

Year 9 - Jack Stanley - Silver medallist, Ryan Whitlock Cox - Bronze medallist.

On the following day our inter-house competition involved 450 boys from Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 who all gave 100% effort their house teams. Some outstanding individual scores were recorded and the final results were: 1^st Venturers, 2^nd Mariners, 3^rd Engineers and 4^th Aviators.
