The Pastoral System operates on a year basis with a Year Head who is assisted by a team of tutors. On entry to the school each pupil is placed in a tutor group where his progress and welfare can be monitored by his tutor. The tutor group thus allows boys from different backgrounds to mix to their mutual social and educational advantage.
To ensure that boys feel both happy and secure on entering the Secondary stage of their education, we liaise closely with Junior Schools. Staff visit Junior Schools to meet new boys and their teachers, and new boys visit Bellemoor in their last term at Junior School.
It is important that the school should be informed of any difficulties or problems experienced by either pupils or their parents. Most personal and academic matters can be dealt with effectively by your son's tutor who has a key role to play in pastoral matters. Do not hesitate to keep us informed of any questions or problems you may have.
Close contact is maintained with parents through the Daybook, regular Newsletters, Reports, Parents' Evenings and the work of the Bellemoor School Association. There are five Parent Governors.
Please note: some telephone calls may be recorded.
