Impressionable young men!

Dear Headteacher

I wanted to write to let you know how students of your school have deeply impressed me.

I regularly walk my dog on the sports centre and noticed that on a regular basis boys (who I believe come from Bellemoor) organise a cricket match. No adults are present but the boys act as a team demonstrating gamesmanship, skill and leadership.

They have delighted many dog walkers on numerous occasions who all comment on the maturity of these lads. They are a tremendous asset to your school and if appropriate should be recognised for contributing to the joy of many adults who have witnessed their efforts.

I first encountered the cricket team when my dog stormed their pitch and devowed their picnic. Instead of meeting with a torrent of abuse (I am a teacher at a local secondary school!!) the boys were polite and refused all offers of mine to replace their banquettes.

I know that the term is ending (thankfully!) but I felt compelled to write to you.

Yours sincerely

Gill
