Foundation Status

Following a meeting on 5^th July 2007 the Governors of Bellemoor School discussed the possible change to a Foundation School, and decided to move to the formal consultation stage. We are aware that it would be unfair to expect reasoned responses to the proposed change during the summer break, so this is advanced notice that the consultation period will run for four weeks from the

13^th September 2007.

I will write again in September to explain the details, but following the consultation period we intend to take a decision on Foundation Status on the 18^th October 2007. If, at this meeting, we agree to go ahead we would propose changing to a Foundation School in January 2008.
