Independent Study

This is for ALL Year 9 students and top set Year 8.

The idea is to encourage students to research and report on any aspect of history, event or person in history, but over a longer time frame and in addition to normal studies.

Criteria:  The chosen subject has to be approved by the teacher and a note of it taken. (NO SPORTS, SO ON NO ACCOUNT ATTEMPT ANY FOOTBALLER, TEAM, SPORTING EVENT OR SPORTS PLAYER).

Plan and show to teacher for review. Thereafter show to teacher for review and advice, at least once every 4 weeks.

No Posters!

Wordprocessing- a booklet of no less than 8 sides text plus images, graphs, diagrams, etc.

Powerpoint- no less than 15 slides.

This work can be e-mailed to Your Teacher for review and obviously at the end.

Start Date September of the Academic Year.

Hand in date Before Easter of the Academic Year.
