BISK-IT – Innovation and Enterprise Challenge:
Final – Monday 17th March 08
Six of our students completed in the 2008 BISK-IT Challenge which was held at INTECH, Winchester.
BISK-IT was originated in 2005 NXP Semiconductors (Originally Phillips) were and still are the main sponsors of the event.
It was conceived in response to a request from Kings School and Bellemoor School for an industry based challenge.
The challenge this year – was to ‘design a product or service which a 15 year old would like to have in order to share, receive and generate information, entertainment or services (eg: online banking).
Our students did extremely well, winning the award for the best presentation. They produced a prototype of a virtual reality education helmet which has the effect of placing learners in real-life situations (eg: Battle of Waterloo).
Congratulations therefore go to Luke Thaxter, Jordan Fallows, Ryan Phillips, Michael Clarke, Stuart Barr and Blair Winning!!!!
